Conversations on Race and Belonging

For the past seven years, NSEA has been developing its race and social justice professional development program, Conversations on Race and Belonging (CORB). This February, we’re launching a new 5-week virtual course designed to inspire deep reflection, connection, and learning during the winter months.

This intensive program includes five 90-minute facilitated Conversations held virtually on weekday or weekend evenings, every other week. Each session builds on the themes of the acclaimed podcast series Seeing White, offering tools and discussions around:

  • Understanding the deeper context behind the podcast stories.
  • Building empathy by exploring emotions and connections.
  • Fostering belonging through shared personal stories and perspectives.

With space for 25 participants, this program is designed for those ready to commit to all five sessions and the accompanying assignments. It’s a unique chance to engage with fellow educators across Nebraska in powerful conversations about race, identity, and belonging.
