I am a current education major with a general science endorsement. I think that public education goes beyond the textbooks and is crucial to development for the youth of our world. For that reason, I think I would be a good delegate because I see beyond the textbook with students. My student teaching experience has taught me that most of the youth don't value education anymore and need the support we provide now more than ever. I would like to advocate the importance of public education on a cultural level. There is so many students learn from just being around other students. As teacher we learn this as well. I would love the opportunity to be a delegate for my university this summer.
