Degrees Not Debt Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Workshop

Do you have federal student debt and are unsure of whether you qualify for federal loan forgiveness programs such as Teacher Loan Forgiveness (TLF), Teacher Loan Cancellation (TLC) and/or Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)?  Are you interested in lowering your monthly payments?  You do not need to work at a Title I or low-income school to be eligible for the federal government’s programs that can reduce monthly payments and forgive loans.

This workshop will cover the following:

• Income Driven Repayment
• Public Service Loan Forgiveness
• Teacher Loan Forgiveness & Cancellation

Things to bring to the workshop:

• Your Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID and password.  The FSA ID is a username, not a number.  If you don’t have one or can’t remember it go to https://fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm.  This process can take up to 72 hours.
• A laptop or other Wi-Fi capable device.
• Existing student loan repayment plan and data, including loan type, if known.
