Shine a Spotlight on an Exceptional Educator

Is there an educator, education support professional, local association or education advocate whose work deserves recognition? Now is the time to consider nominating them for an NSEA award.

Each year at Delegate Assembly, NSEA honors educators, ESPs, local associations and public education advocates for excellence in education, community service, advocacy and human and civil rights.

Members are eligible for several awards, including the Early Career Educator, Award for Teaching Excellence, Education Support Professional of the Year, Community Service and Tom Black Local Public Relations awards. Members may also nominate individuals, organizations and community partners for the Great Plains Milestone, Administrator of Excellence, Friend of Education and Outstanding Media awards.

The Friend of Education Award is NSEA's highest honor, recognizing an individual or organization that has made a statewide contribution to education or Nebraska educators.

A member-led committee is reviewing the awards program to simplify nominations. The awards will be posted at www.nsea.org/da. In the meantime, consider colleagues and community partners deserving recognition. The 2027 Delegate Assembly will be held April 23-24 at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel.
