Protect IDEA
The Trump administration is moving federal special education oversight out of the U.S. Department of Education and into the Department of Health and Human Services. These changes could create delays in services, funding uncertainty and new challenges for Nebraska students with disabilities and the educators who support them.
NSEA is calling on all members to contact Nebraska’s U.S. Senators and Representatives TODAY. Tell Congress:
- Protect IDEA services and funding
- Keep special education expertise within the Department of Education
- Oppose actions that weaken support for students with disabilities
