Free Science Resources Available to Nebraska Schools

Nebraska middle and high school science educators have access to a grant-funded resource designed to help increase student engagement and connect classroom learning to real-world STEM experiences.

Through funding from the Nebraska Department of Education, Plasma Games is available at no cost to Nebraska public schools for the 2026–27 school year.

What is Plasma Games?

Plasma Games is a supplemental science resource for students in grades 6–12. Designed to work alongside existing curriculum, the platform provides a variety of resources educators can use to engage students, reinforce concepts and support different learning needs.

Resources include:

  • Interactive digital activities and games
  • Hands-on investigations
  • Collaborative lessons
  • Reading and vocabulary supports
  • Auto-graded assignments
  • STEM career exploration and experiences

Educators can use the resources to help increase student engagement, address learning gaps, provide intervention or enrichment, support students at different reading levels, and supplement existing lesson plans.

Professional development is also included at no cost.

How to Get Started

Schools interested in participating need approval from a principal or district administrator.

Ask your principal or district administrator to complete the Administrator Approval Form.

Once the form is submitted, the Plasma Games team will assist with account setup and help your school get started.

Paid Opportunities for Nebraska Science Educators

In addition to providing grant-funded access to its classroom resources, Plasma Games is offering separate paid opportunities for some Nebraska science educators.

These opportunities may include reviewing instructional materials, providing feedback on future resources, or participating in research and development projects.

Educators interested in these opportunities can learn more through Plasma Games.
