Leadership Institute Offered at No Cost

It did not take long for Raymond Central Education Association’s Alexandra Bastian to put her new leadership skills to use.

Bastian NSEA Leadership Institute 2016, and has now been elected to the executive committee of NSEA’s Capitol District (see story at left). Such advancement is not unusual for graduates of the Leadership Institute, which will observe 30 years this summer.

“Many Leadership Institute grad have gone on to serve the Association well, both at the state and the local level,” said NSEA Organizational Specialist Randy Gordon, a 2017 Institute coordinator.

If you’re a new leader in your association, or if you’re thinking about becoming a leader, consider the 2017 event, scheduled for Monday afternoon, June 12, though lunch on Wednesday, June 14, at NSEA in Lincoln. There is no cost for members.

Participants will learn about resources available to local associations, and will identify areas of focus for their local unit. Time will be set aside to allow participants to plan a successful 2017-18 for their local association.
