NEA DUES-TAB
Many of us need constant reminding to do things for our own good. For example, have you registered your beneficiary for NEA DUES-TAB insurance? If you've registered already, great! Tell your colleagues who haven't how easy and important it is to register.
Registering is important because DUES-TAB covers you three ways: basic life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and a special $50,000 benefit for accidental death or dismemberment that occurs on the job or on Association business.
- The life insurance insures you for the amount you have paid in NEA dues since 1981, up to $1,000.
- The accidental death and dismemberment insurance pays five times your life insurance benefit, up to a $5,000 maximum.
- The special benefit provides $50,000 in accidental death and dismemberment coverage while on the job or Association business.
DUES-TAB is an automatic benefit provided at absolutely no cost to eligible NEA members -- for as long as they remain members -- by NEA Member Benefits and the NEA Members Insurance Trust. No dues dollars are used to support the program.
It takes only three minutes to register your beneficiary. Call the NEA Member Services Center toll-free at 1-800-637-4636.
All active, reserve, staff and life members are eligible for NEA DUES-TAB. Life members must work at least one day of the school year and must be actively employed in the field of education.
